Pork Chop Meal

- 0.8 cup uncooked long-grain white rice
- 4 pork chops bone-in pork chops (about 2 lb total)
- 1 medium tomato, sliced
- 1 medium green bell pepper, sliced into rings
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 14 0.5 oz can beef broth
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

Preheat oven to 375°F. Butter the inside of a large casserole dish.

Spread the uncooked rice evenly in the bottom of the casserole.

Brown the pork chops in a skillet over medium-high heat on both sides. Season with salt and pepper.

Arrange browned pork chops on top of the rice.

Place a slice of tomato, a ring of green pepper, and a slice of onion on top of each chop.

Pour the beef broth over everything. Sprinkle with Worcestershire sauce.

Cover tightly and bake for 60–75 minutes, until pork chops are tender and rice has absorbed the liquid.

Check partway through; if the moisture has evaporated, add ½ cup water and more Worcestershire sauce.
