  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup butter or margarine -- melted and cooled
  • 1 tablespoon anise extract OR 1 tablespoon vanilla
  • 4 eggs -- slightly beaten

Instructions

    Heat pizzelle iron according to manufacturer's directions.

    Mix all ingredients in a medium bowl.

  3. 3

    Drop 1 tablespoon batter onto heated pizzelle iron; close.

  4. 4

    Cook about 30 seconds or until golden brown.

  5. 5

    Carefully remove pizzelle from iron.

  6. 6

    Cool on wire rack.
