- 1 lb lasagna noodles
- 6 cup potatoes, diced and salted
- 8 oz cream cheese
- 5 large onions, sliced
- 0.8 lb butter, divided

Cook lasagna noodles and potatoes separately until tender. Drain both.

Mash cooked potatoes together with cream cheese until smooth.

Slice onions and brown in ¼ lb butter in a skillet. Add remaining butter and continue browning.

Spread a small amount of melted butter in the bottom of a 9×13-inch pan.

Layer noodles, mashed potato mixture, and caramelized onions. Repeat layers.

Cover with foil and bake at 300°F for 15 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 10–15 minutes.
