Ingredients

Servings
4
  • 1/3 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cloves
  • ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. 1

Prepare the dough up to 3 days in advance and refrigerate, or freeze for up to 3 months.

  2. 2

Make the bottom crust and line your pan.

  3. 3

Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface to 1/8-inch (3 mm) thick.

  4. 4

Use your rolling pin to help transfer the pie crust to the pie dish.

  5. 5

Carefully roll one end of the circle of dough gently onto the rolling pin, rolling it back towards you, slowly peeling it off the work surface as you go.

  6. 6

Pick it up, and carefully roll it back out over the top of the pie dish.

  7. 7

Bake according to your pie or galette recipe instructions.
