- 3 tbsp soybean or vegetable oil
- 0.5 cup diced white onion
- 1 0.5 lb rib-eye beef, sliced paper-thin
- 0.5 tsp salt
- 0.3 tsp black pepper
- 4 Italian hoagie rolls, split
- 1 cup Cheese Whiz, warmed

Heat oil in a large skillet or griddle over medium-high heat.

Add diced onions and cook, stirring occasionally, until browned and softened, about 6–8 minutes. Push to one side of pan.

Add sliced rib-eye to the pan in a thin layer. Season with salt and pepper.

Cook beef 45 seconds per side — do not overcook; it should be just cooked through.

Mix onions into the beef and pile onto split rolls.

Pour warm Cheese Whiz generously over the meat and serve immediately.
