Pecan Pie

  • 1 unbaked 9-inch pie shell
  • 1 0.5 cup whole pecans
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 4 large eggs, beaten
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 0.3 cup Steen's 100% pure cane syrup
  • 0.3 cup light corn syrup
  • 0.5 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch salt

Instructions

    Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

    Spread the pecans and chocolate chips evenly over the bottom of the unbaked pie shell.

    In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, granulated sugar, brown sugar, cane syrup, corn syrup, vanilla, and salt until well combined.

    Pour the filling over the pecans and chocolate chips.

    Bake for about 1 hour, or until the filling is set in the center (a slight jiggle is okay). Cool for at least 10 minutes before slicing.
