PEACH BREAD

A bread recipe for PEACH BREAD.

  • 3 c Fresh peaches
  • 6 tb Sugar
  • 2 c Flour
  • 1 ts Baking soda
  • 1 ts Baking powder
  • 1/4 ts Salt
  • 1 ts Gr. cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 c Sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 c Pecans; finely chopped
  • 1 ts Vanilla extract
  • 1/2 c Shortening

Instructions

    Puree peaches with 6 tb sugar. (should yield 2 1/4 c.)

    Combine flour, baking powder, soda, salt and cinnamon. Set aside.

    Combine 1 1/2 c. sugar and shortening - cream together.

    Add eggs and mix.

    Add puree and dry ingred. Mix til moist.

    Stir in nuts and vanilla.

    Spoon into well greased 9x5x3" loaf pans (2).

    Bake @ 325 for 55-60 min.

    Cool 10 min. in pan.

    Turn out on rack and cool completely.
