  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 each eggs
  • 0 each to 4 cups flour, divided
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 0 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp nutmeg
  • 0.5 cup chopped walnuts
  • 0.3 cup toasted sesame seeds

Instructions

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

    Lightly grease two baking sheets.

    Beat oil and sugar.

    Add eggs one at a time.

    In bowl, measure and mix together 2 cups flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, nuts, and sesame seeds.

    Add flour mixture to egg mixture and add remaining flour as necessary to make a soft dough.

    Divide dough into four equal balls.

    Roll each to 12 inches long x 3 inches wide and 1/4-inch thick.

    Bake for 15 minutes on prepared baking sheets.

    Remove loaves from oven.

    While warm, slice 3/4-inch thick diagonally or straight across.

    Place each slice cut side down back on baking sheet.

    Return to oven and lightly brown about 5 minutes per side to make a light toast.
