Patty’s Pie Crust

  • 3/4 Tbs. salt
  • 1 cup shortening
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 6 Tbs. cold ice water (or more)
  • 1 tsp. vinegar

Instructions

    Cut salt and shortening into flour with fork.

    Add egg, water, and vinegar mixture, 2 Tbs. at a time.

  3. 3

    Handle lightly, on flowered counter top.

  4. 4

    Sheet roll out a portion large enough to fit the pie plate.

  5. 5

    Place in the pie plate, and bake at 450 for 15-25 minutes.

  6. 6

    Makes 2 single crusts.
