Pampered Chef Taco Lasagna

  • 2 lb ground beef
  • 2 packets taco seasoning
  • 4 clove garlic, pressed
  • 0.5 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 0.5 cup water
  • 1 tbsp cornmeal
  • 24 corn tortillas corn tortillas
  • 24 oz jar chunky salsa
  • 1 cup green onions, chopped
  • 2 cup sour cream
  • 1 tbsp chili powder
  • 3 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 3 cup shredded Cheddar cheese

Instructions

    Preheat oven to 375°F.

    Mix chili powder into the sour cream. Set aside.

    Brown the ground beef in a skillet. Drain well. Add taco seasoning, garlic, cayenne, and water. Simmer for 10 minutes, then set aside.

    Sprinkle cornmeal in the bottom of a 13 x 9-inch baking pan.

    Place 6 tortillas in the bottom of the pan, overlapping and extending up the edges slightly.

    Layer with 1 cup salsa, half the meat, ½ cup green onions, half the sour cream mixture, and 1 cup of each cheese.

    Repeat the layers: 6 more tortillas, 1 cup salsa, remaining meat, remaining green onions, remaining sour cream, and 1 cup of each cheese.

    Top with the final 6 tortillas and the remaining salsa. Bake for 40 minutes.

    Remove from oven, sprinkle with remaining cheese, and bake 10 more minutes.

    Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
