Ozark Corncob Syrup

- 1 tsp baking soda
- 18 red corncobs, broken into pieces 2 tbs hot water
- sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- brown sugar

- water 2 eggs, beaten
- 2 tbs margarine, melted

Put corncobs into a large pot and add enough water 1 cup sugar

to cover corncobs when pressed down. Bring to boil

and boil for 1 hour. Strain liquid and bring to another Soak oats in buttermilk overnight. Then add rest of
