Ozark Corncob Syrup

  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 18 red corncobs, broken into pieces 2 tbs hot water
  • sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • brown sugar

  • water 2 eggs, beaten
  • 2 tbs margarine, melted

Instructions

    Put corncobs into a large pot and add enough water 1 cup sugar

    to cover corncobs when pressed down. Bring to boil

    and boil for 1 hour. Strain liquid and bring to another Soak oats in buttermilk overnight. Then add rest of
