  • 2 c. all purpose flour
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. baking cocoa
  • 2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. vegetable oil
  • 1 c. buttermilk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 c. hot water

Instructions

    In a large bowl, combine dry ingredients.

    Stir in oil, buttermilk, and eggs.

    Add water and stir until combined.

    Pour into a greased 13x9x2-inch baking pan.

    Bake at 350 degrees for 35-38 minutes or until toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.

    Cool completely.

    Frost as desired.
