  • 0.8 lb flank steak, thinly sliced across the grain

  • 2 tbsp minced garlic
  • 10 each dried red chilies
  • 10 each green onions, cut into 3-inch pieces
  • 2 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp dark soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp Chinese rice wine or dry sherry
  • 1 tsp cornstarch

    Place a wok over high heat until hot.

    Add beef and stir-fry until no longer pink, 1 1/2 to 2 minutes.
