  • 2 0.8 cup of flour
  • 1 0.5 cup of sugar
  • 1 cup of butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp of cold water
  • 1 tsp of baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp salt

    Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs one at a time mix after each egg. Combine flour, baking powder and salt add to mixture and mix then add cold water. Add rest of flour mix well. Let set for 10 min. Drop by tablespoon on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees until lightly brown. Black Mountain Buttermilk Pound Cake 2 sticks of butter 3 cups of sugar 1 teaspoon of lemon extract 1 teaspoon of almond extract 6 eggs, separated 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla 1/2 teaspoon so butter flavoring 3 cups sifted flour 1/2 teaspoon of salt 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda 1 cup of buttermilk Mix butter and sugar at medium speed. Add the egg yolks one at a time, mixing after adding each egg. Add the flavorings. Sift the flour, salt and baking soda together. Add the dry ingredi- ents to the butter and egg mixture alternating with buttermilk beginning and ending with dry in- gredients. Beat egg whites until stiff but not dry and fold into the mixture. Pour into a greased and floured 10- inch tube pan. Bake in a 350 degree preheated oven for 1 hour and 15 min. Al- low to cool for 15 minutes before removing from pan
