Molasses Cake

    1 cup sugar

    Mix sugar, maple extract, melted margarine into 3 eggs, beaten

    scalded milk in medium pot. Combine in small pot 1 tsp baking soda

  5. 5

    cold milk and cornstarch and mix well. Add to sugar 1/2 tsp ginger

  6. 6

    mixture along with salt and eggs. Beat well. Pour 2 cups flour

  7. 7

    into pie shells. Place large pot lid upside down in 1 cup light molasses

  8. 8

    Dutch oven. Put pie shell onto pot lid and bake at 1/2 tsp salt

    450 for 10 minutes. Top with nutmeg and 1/2 tsp ground cloves

    bake another 25 minutes at 350. 1/2 tsp cinnamon

    1 cup margarine, softened

    Cream together margarine and sugar. Add eggs

    and blend well. Add molasses. Combine cloves,

    BLUEBERRY MUFFINS cinnamon, ginger, salt, and flour. Mix well. Add 1

    cup boiling water to mixture. Then add baking soda

    2 cups flour and stir. Combine flour mixture slowly to margarine

  18. 18

    2/3 cups sugar mixture. Batter will be thin. Don't add more flour.

    1 tbs baking powder Pour batter into greased floured cake pan and bake

    1/2 tsp salt in cardboard oven at 350 for 45 minutes. When still

    1/2 tsp nutmeg warm, turn

    2 eggs, beaten 1/2 cups milk upside down onto plate and serve.
