Mississippi Fried Oysters

Southern-style deep-fried oysters dipped in beaten egg then coated in a seasoned cornmeal-flour mixture and fried to golden perfection.

  • 24 fresh raw oysters
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 2 cup cornmeal
  • 1 tsp granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 2 cup shortening or oil for frying

Instructions
