- 24 fresh raw oysters
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 2 cup cornmeal
- 1 tsp granulated sugar
- 2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp flour
- 2 cup shortening or oil for frying
