MICROWAVE BEEF JERKY

  • 2 each lbs. beef (can use flank steak, chuck roast, brisket, sirloin tip or
  • 0.5 each tsp. seasoned salt
  • 1/3 each tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/3 each tsp. pepper
  • 1 each tsp. MSG
  • 1 each tsp. onion powder
  • 0.5 each c. Worcestershire sauce
  • 0.5 each c. soy sauce
  • 2 each tbsp. liquid smoke

Instructions

    Trim off excess fat.

    Semi-freeze meat for easier slicing.

  3. 3

    Cut across grain into 1/8 inch strips.

  4. 4

    Place meat in shallow pan.

  5. 5

    Combine all ingredients and pour over meat slices.

    Let set overnight in the refrigerator.

    To cook: Lay out strips on microwave bacon rack.

    Cover with paper towel.

    Cook on high power for 2 1/2 minutes.

    Turn strips.

    Cook 1 1/2 minutes.

    Turn strips.

    Cook 1 1/2 minutes.

    Let stand 5 minutes before eating.

    Cooking time may vary with thickness of meat.

    Store in airtight container.
