Mexican Skillet Dinner

One-pan Mexican skillet with pork sausage, bell pepper, macaroni and tomatoes cooked together with buttermilk, chili powder and sugar. Everything goes in dry and cooks together.

  • 1 lb bulk pork sausage
  • 0.3 cup chopped instant onions
  • 1 cup diced green bell pepper
  • 8 oz elbow macaroni
  • 16 oz canned tomatoes
  • 1 cup buttermilk or sour cream
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 2 tbsp chili powder
  • 2 tsp Season-All seasoning

Instructions

    Brown sausage in a deep heavy skillet; add onions and green pepper. Cook until onions are golden brown.

    Pour off excess fat.

    Add remaining ingredients; stir to moisten macaroni.

    Cover; bring to a boil, then reduce heat and cook 30 minutes.
