- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 0.5 tsp salt
- 0.3 tsp black pepper
- 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese, divided
- 0.5 cup sour cream
- 0.3 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp finely chopped onion
- 1 cup buttermilk biscuit baking mix
- 0.3 cup water
- 2 Roma tomatoes, thinly sliced
- 0.8 cup green bell pepper, chopped
- 0.5 tsp paprika

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.

Cook ground beef in a skillet, breaking up, until browned. Drain fat. Season with salt and pepper; set aside.

Mix ½ cup Cheddar, sour cream, mayonnaise, and onion in a bowl; set aside.

Stir baking mix and water together until a soft dough forms. With floured fingers, press dough into the greased pan, pushing ½ inch up the sides.

Layer cooked beef over dough, then arrange tomato slices and green pepper on top.

Spoon sour cream mixture over vegetables. Sprinkle remaining ½ cup Cheddar and a dusting of paprika over the top.

Bake uncovered 25–30 minutes until edges are light brown. Cool 5 minutes, then cut into squares.
