  • 1 0.5 lb lean ground beef
  • 0.5 lb ground pork
  • 2 slice white bread, soaked in water and squeezed dry
  • 0.5 cup minced onions
  • 3 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 whole large egg, beaten
  • 0.8 tsp salt
  • 0.3 tsp fresh ground pepper
  • 14 0.5 oz beef broth
  • 14 0.5 oz chicken broth
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 0.3 tsp dried thyme

Instructions

  1. 1

  2. 2

    Shape mixture into 1-inch balls.

  3. 3

  4. 4

    Remove meatballs and set aside.

  5. 5

Add beef broth and chicken broth to skillet. Bring to a boil, scraping up any browned bits.

  6. 6

Whisk cornstarch with a little cold water, then stir into broth. Add thyme and simmer until thickened.

  7. 7

Return meatballs to skillet and heat through. Serve over mashed potatoes or egg noodles.
