Lasagna with White Sauce

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 14 0.5 oz canned diced tomatoes
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 beef bouillon cube
  • 1 0.5 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 0.3 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 8 oz mini lasagna noodles, cooked 5 min and drained
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted
  • 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 2 cup milk
  • 2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese, divided

Instructions

    Brown beef and onion in a skillet; drain fat. Transfer to slow cooker.

    Stir in diced tomatoes, tomato paste, bouillon, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, and cayenne.

    Make white sauce: whisk butter with flour, then gradually add milk, stirring until smooth. Stir in 1 cup mozzarella.

    Stir noodles into meat mixture. Pour white sauce over top. Sprinkle with remaining mozzarella.

    Cover and cook on LOW for 4 to 5 hours.
