- 1 pkg. (3 oz) lime gelatin
- 1 cup boiling water
- 1 to 2 t. grated lime rind
- 1/2 cup lime juice
- 1 egg, separated
- 1 t. aromatic bitters
- 1 1/3 cup sweetened condensed milk
- 1 cup sour cream
- Few drops green food coloring (optional)
- 1 baked 9-inch pie shell (cooled)
Instructions

Dissolve gelatin in boiling water.

Add lime rind and juice.

Beat egg yolk slightly, slowly add gelatin stirring constantly.

Add milk, betters and sour cream, stirring until blended.

Chill until slightly thickened.

Beat egg white until soft peaks will form; fold into gelatin mixture.

Add coloring.

Pour into pastry shell.

Chill until firm.

Garnish with whipped cream or whipped topping and lime slices.
