- 1 large head of cabbage
- 0.8 lb ground pork
- 0.8 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion -- chopped
- 1 cup rice
- 1 egg -- beaten
- 1 tbsp salt
- 0.5 tsp pepper
- 1 tbsp paprika
- 2 cup sauerkraut -- rinsed and drained
- 1 0.5 cup tomato juice
- 1 0.5 cup water
- 1 cup sour cream

- the leaves, leaving them whole. Trim off the heavy stem and flatten leaves.
