Honey Glazed Ham

- 5 lb ready-to-eat ham
- 0.3 cup whole cloves, for studding
- 0.3 cup dark corn syrup
- 2 cup honey
- 0.7 cup unsalted butter

Preheat the oven to 325°F. Score the top of the ham in a crosshatch diamond pattern and stud the center of each diamond with a whole clove.

Place the ham in a foil-lined roasting pan.

In the top of a double boiler, heat the dark corn syrup, honey, and butter, stirring until the butter is melted and the glaze is smooth. Keep the glaze warm.

Brush the warm glaze over the ham. Bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes, basting with the honey glaze every 10 to 15 minutes.

During the last 4 to 5 minutes, switch to broil to caramelize the glaze until deep golden.

Remove from the oven and let rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
