  • 12 lb whole turkey
  • 6 tbsp butter, divided
  • 4 cup warm water
  • 3 tbsp chicken bouillon granules
  • 2 tbsp dried parsley
  • 2 tbsp dried minced onion
  • 2 tbsp seasoning salt

Instructions

    Preheat oven to 450°F. Rinse and dry turkey.

    Separate skin over the breast and push 3 tablespoons of butter on each side under the skin.

    Dissolve bouillon in warm water. Sprinkle in parsley and minced onion. Pour over the turkey.

    Sprinkle turkey with seasoning salt. Cover with foil and place in oven.

    Immediately reduce heat to 325°F. Bake for 3½–4 hours until internal temperature reaches 180°F.

    Remove foil for the last 45 minutes to allow browning. Rest 15 minutes before carving.
