Home-Style Bread Pudding

A slow cooker bread pudding steamed in a baking dish: cubed bread soaked in a cinnamon-vanilla custard with raisins and brown sugar.

  • 2 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 2 0.3 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 0.5 tsp cinnamon
  • 0.3 tsp salt
  • 2 cup bread, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 0.5 cup brown sugar
  • 0.5 cup raisins or chopped dates

Instructions

    Combine eggs with milk, vanilla, cinnamon, salt, bread, sugar, and raisins.

    Pour into a greased 1.5-qt baking dish.

    Place a metal trivet in crockpot; add 1/2 cup hot water. Set baking dish on trivet.

    Cover and cook on HIGH about 2 hours until set.
