Hamburger-Cream Cheese Casserole
Rich baked noodle casserole layered with a creamy blend of cottage cheese, cream cheese and sour cream sandwiched between egg noodles, topped with seasoned ground beef in tomato sauce.

- 1 lb hamburger
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 tsp salt
- 0.5 tsp pepper
- 16 oz tomato sauce (two 8-oz cans)
- 8 oz egg noodles
- 1 cup creamed cottage cheese
- 8 oz cream cheese
- 0.5 cup sour cream
- 0.3 cup sliced green onion
- 0.3 cup chopped green bell pepper (optional)

Brown hamburger and onion in butter; stir in salt, pepper and tomato sauce. Remove from heat.

Cook noodles according to package directions; drain.

Combine cottage cheese, cream cheese, sour cream, green onion and green pepper.

In a 3-quart casserole, spread half the noodles; cover with cheese mixture. Top with remaining noodles.

Pour hamburger mixture over top. Bake at 250°F for about 30 minutes.
