  • 12 oz dry fettuccine noodles
  • 8 oz fresh asparagus, trimmed and cut into 2-inch pieces
  • 0.5 cup butter
  • 2 cup heavy cream
  • 0.8 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 0.3 tsp garlic powder
  • 0.3 tsp black pepper
  • 1 pinch cayenne pepper
  • 0.5 lb cooked ham, diced

Instructions

    Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook fettuccine 8–10 minutes until al dente, adding asparagus in the last 5 minutes. Drain.

    Meanwhile, heat butter and cream in a saucepan over medium heat until bubbling.

    Stir in Parmesan, garlic powder, black pepper, and cayenne. Continue cooking, stirring occasionally, until sauce thickens.
