Ground Beef and Noodles

Hearty baked noodle casserole with seasoned ground beef, mushrooms, onion, white wine, cream of mushroom soup, sour cream and Dijon mustard. A sophisticated take on comfort food.

  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 0.3 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp vegetable oil
  • 8 oz sliced mushrooms
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 3 clove garlic, minced
  • 0.3 cup white wine
  • 10 0.8 oz cream of mushroom soup, undiluted
  • 0.5 cup sour cream
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 4 cup cooked egg noodles

Instructions

    Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray 13x9-inch baking dish with cooking spray.

    Brown beef over medium-high heat; season with salt and pepper. Drain fat; set aside.

    Heat oil in same skillet; cook mushrooms, onion and garlic 2 minutes. Add wine; simmer 3 minutes.

    Remove from heat; stir in soup, sour cream and mustard until combined. Return beef to skillet.

    Place noodles in prepared dish. Pour beef mixture over noodles; stir until coated.

    Bake uncovered 30 minutes or until heated through. Sprinkle with chopped parsley if desired.
