- 2 tbsp fresh garlic, minced
- 0.3 cup sesame seeds
- 1 tbsp fresh ginger, minced
- 1 cup apricot preserves
- 8 oz hoisin sauce
- 2 lb large shrimp, cleaned
- 2 tbsp garlic, minced (for marinade)
- 1/8 cup soy sauce
- 2 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil

Make glaze: heat 1 tbsp oil; sauté garlic, sesame seeds, and ginger 2 minutes. Stir in apricot preserves and hoisin. Simmer on low heat.

Toss shrimp with garlic, soy sauce, and olive oil. Thread onto skewers.
