Grilled Shrimp

  • 2 lb large or jumbo shrimp, unpeeled
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup lemon juice
  • 2 tsp dry Italian salad dressing mix
  • 2 tsp seasoned salt
  • 1 tsp seasoned pepper
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 4 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 0.5 cup chopped scallions

Instructions

    Wash shrimp and drain on paper towels.

    Mix oil, lemon juice, salad dressing mix, seasoned salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Pour over shrimp and marinate in the refrigerator 2–4 hours or overnight, stirring occasionally.

    Lift shrimp from marinade and thread onto skewers.

    Grill about 6 inches from hot coals for 10 minutes, turning once and brushing with marinade.

    Pour remaining marinade into a pan, stir in brown sugar, soy sauce, and scallions, and heat to boiling. Serve as a dipping sauce.
