  • 12 cups green tomatoes, peeled and chopped
  • 12 cups tart apples, peeled and chopped
  • 2 cups currants
  • 4 cups raisins
  • 3 tbsp. salt
  • 3 tbsp. cloves
  • 3 tbsp. nutmeg
  • 4 tbsp. cinnamon
  • 5 lbs. brown sugar
  • 1/2 lb. suet, finely chopped (optional)
  • 2 cups vinegar

Instructions

    Combine all ingredients (except suet) and cook over medium heat until liquid is reduced.

    Pour into sterilized jars and seal.
