  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup cornmeal
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup margarine
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/3 tsp. salt
  • 3 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Instructions

    Combine sugar, margarine, egg, vanilla and milk in large mixing bowl.

    Sift flour, salt, baking powder, cornmeal, nutmeg together.

    Blend dry ingredients into wet and mix well.

    Spoon into large muffin pans.

    Bake at 350F for 25 minutes or until well done.
