French Onion Soup Casserole

- 3 jumbo yellow onions, sliced
- 2 tbsp butter
- 10 0.8 oz cream of chicken soup
- 0.5 cup milk
- 1 tsp soy sauce
- 0.5 lb Swiss cheese slices
- 0 pepper to taste
- 0 French bread, thinly sliced
- 0 butter for bread

Sauté sliced onions in butter in large skillet on low to medium heat until transparent. Place in a buttered 9x13-inch glass baking dish.

Whisk together chicken soup, milk and soy sauce. Pour over onions.

Cover with Swiss cheese slices and sprinkle with pepper.

Top with thinly sliced buttered French bread.

Bake at 350°F for 35 minutes or until bubbly and brown. (If made ahead, bake at 350°F for 45-50 minutes.)
