Flaky Butter Pie Crust
A buttery, flaky all-purpose pie crust made with a blend of cold butter and lard for maximum flakiness and flavor — yields two 9-inch pie crusts.

- 3 0.3 cup flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 0.5 cup cold butter
- 0.7 cup cold lard
- 4 0.5 tbsp ice water

Combine flour and salt in a mixing bowl.

Add butter and lard. Work in with your hands until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

Add ice water a little at a time, mixing with hands until dough comes together. Do not overwork.

Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate 30 minutes.

Remove and place on lightly floured surface. Roll out to desired thickness. Yields two 9-inch pie crusts.
