Farmers' Seafood Boil

A classic Low Country boil: potatoes, onions, pork sausage, corn, and shell-on shrimp all boiled together with crab boil seasoning — a crowd feast.

  • 2 lb shell-on headless shrimp
  • 6 oz crab and shrimp boil packets (2 packages)
  • 0.3 cup salt
  • 3 russet potatoes, unpeeled and quartered
  • 4 onions, quartered
  • 1 link pork sausage, cut into 1.5-inch pieces
  • 3 ears of corn, cut into thirds

Instructions

    Bring 1 gallon of water with crab boil packets and salt to a rolling boil.

    Add potatoes; boil 10 minutes.

    Add onions and sausage; boil 5 minutes.

  4. 4

    Add shrimp and corn; boil 5 minutes more. Drain and serve with crusty bread.
