Double Chocolate Chip Cookies
A heavenly cookies recipe for Double Chocolate Chip Cookies.
Ingredients
- 1-1/3 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1-1/3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup margarine
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1-1/2 cups chopped walnuts

Melt 1/3 cup chocolate and set aside.

In a medium bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda and salt. Set this aside also.

In large mixing bowl, with electric mixer, beat margarine and sugars for three minutes until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in reserved melted chocolate and vanilla until blended, scraping the sides of the bowl occasionally.

With the mixer on low, beat in flour mixture. Stir in walnuts and remaining 1 cup chocolate.

Wrap dough in plastic wrap and freeze for one hour or until firm.

Preheat oven to 375°F. On an ungreased baking sheets, drop dough by level tablespoons, 2 inches apart.

Bake 9 minutes or until just set on top. Cool for one minute then transfer to wire rack and cool completely.
