Dave's Meat Loaf

A rustic slow cooker meatloaf of beef and sausage with dark beer, onion, and parsley — serve warm with tomato sauce or slice cold for sandwiches.

  • 1 lb extra lean ground beef
  • 0.3 lb sausage meat
  • 0.3 cup dark beer
  • 1 egg
  • 2 slice bread, torn into soft crumbs
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 0.5 tsp freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 dash Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 dash Tabasco sauce

Instructions

    Combine all ingredients and gently shape into a round loaf.

    Place on a trivet or rack in crockpot.

  3. 3

    Cover and cook on LOW 7–8 hours.

    Serve with tomato or chili sauce. Chill leftovers for sliced sandwiches.
