Crescent Monte Cristo Loaf

Layered crescent roll loaf filled with smoked turkey, Muenster cheese, and ham, spread with red raspberry preserves and topped with honey and sesame seeds. A festive sweet-savory bake.

  • 16 oz refrigerated crescent dinner rolls (two 8-oz cans)
  • 2 tbsp butter or margarine, melted
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 6 oz thinly sliced smoked turkey
  • 6 oz thinly sliced Muenster cheese
  • 6 oz thinly sliced cooked ham
  • 0.4 cup red raspberry preserves
  • 2 tbsp honey (for topping)
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds

Instructions

    Separate dough into 4 long rectangles. Place crosswise on large baking sheet(s), firmly press perforations to seal.

    Combine butter and 2 tablespoons honey; brush over dough. Bake at 375°F for 8-12 minutes until golden brown; cool 15 minutes.

    Grease a 15x10x1-inch baking pan. Place one crust on pan. Top with turkey.

    Place second crust over turkey; top with cheese and ham. Place third crust over ham; spread evenly with raspberry preserves.

    Top with fourth crust; brush with 2 tablespoons honey and sprinkle with sesame seeds.

    Bake at 375°F for 10-15 minutes until deep golden brown. Let stand 5 minutes. Cut into 6-8 slices.
