Creamy Spaghetti Casserole
A layered pasta bake with seasoned ground beef in tomato sauce and a creamy cheese middle of cottage cheese, cream cheese, sour cream and scallions. Can be prepared the day before.

- 1 0.5 lb ground beef
- 1 tbsp butter
- 16 oz tomato sauce (two 8-oz cans)
- 0 salt and pepper to taste
- 0.5 lb cottage cheese
- 8 oz cream cheese
- 0.3 cup sour cream
- 0.3 cup chopped scallions
- 1 tbsp green bell pepper, chopped
- 7 oz spaghetti
- 2 tbsp butter, melted
Instructions

Brown beef in butter. Add tomato sauce, salt and pepper. Remove from heat.

In separate bowl, combine cottage cheese, cream cheese, sour cream, scallions and green pepper.

Cook spaghetti according to package directions; drain.

In a 2-quart casserole spread half of spaghetti; cover with cheese mixture. Add remaining spaghetti and pour melted butter on top. Spread meat sauce over top.

Chill at least 20 minutes (can be made the day before).

Remove from refrigerator 20 minutes before baking. Bake at 350°F for 45 minutes.
