Creamy Pesto Shrimp

  • 1 lb linguine pasta
  • 0.5 cup butter
  • 2 cup heavy cream
  • 0.5 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 0.3 cup basil pesto
  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

    Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook linguine 8 to 10 minutes until al dente. Drain.

    In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in heavy cream and season with black pepper. Cook 6 to 8 minutes, stirring constantly.

    Add Parmesan cheese to the cream sauce, stirring until thoroughly mixed.

    Blend in the pesto and cook 3 to 5 minutes until the sauce thickens.
