Cream Cheese Chicken

- 3 lb chicken, cut into pieces
- 2 tbsp butter, melted
- 1 tsp salt
- 0.3 tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp dry Italian salad dressing mix
- 1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup (10.75 oz)
- 6 oz cream cheese, cubed
- 0.5 cup dry white wine or sherry
- 1 tbsp chopped onion

Brush chicken pieces with melted butter; season with salt and pepper.

Place chicken in slow cooker. Sprinkle Italian dressing mix over all pieces.

Cover and cook on LOW for 6–7 hours until chicken is very tender.

About 45 minutes before serving, combine soup, cream cheese, wine, and onion in a small saucepan over low heat. Stir until smooth.

Pour cream cheese sauce over chicken. Cover and cook 45 minutes more.

Serve over egg noodles or rice, spooning the creamy sauce generously over each portion.
