Classic Bordelaise Sauce
A simple French red wine butter sauce with garlic and parsley — simmered briefly and perfect over grilled steaks or roasted meats.

- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 4 tbsp butter (1/2 stick)
- 0.3 tsp salt
- 1/8 tsp freshly ground black pepper
- 1 tbsp chopped garlic
- 1 tbsp chopped parsley
- 0.3 cup dry red wine
Instructions

In a saucepan over medium heat, warm the olive oil and butter.

Add the salt and pepper and simmer for about 4 minutes.

Add the garlic and parsley and cook for 30 seconds.

Drizzle in the wine and simmer for 3 minutes.

Remove from heat and serve immediately over steak or roasted meats. Yields about 3/4 cup.
