Chocolate Christmas Truffles

Indulgent chocolate truffles made with semisweet chocolate, Irish cream, coffee liqueur, and instant coffee, rolled in cocoa powder.

  • 0.5 cup whipping cream
  • 0.3 cup Irish cream liqueur
  • 2 tbsp coffee liqueur
  • 1 0.5 tsp instant coffee crystals
  • 12 oz package semisweet chocolate pieces
  • 0.3 cup butter
  • 0.3 cup sifted cocoa powder for rolling

Instructions

    Combine whipping cream, Irish cream, and coffee liqueur. Stir in instant coffee crystals; set aside.

    Melt chocolate and butter in a heavy saucepan over low heat. Remove from heat; gradually stir in cream mixture until blended.

    Transfer to a bowl; cover tightly and chill about 2 hours until completely cool and smooth, stirring occasionally.

    Shape tablespoons of candy into balls. Roll each in cocoa powder.

    Place on waxed-paper-lined baking sheet. Chill until firm. Store covered in refrigerator up to 2 weeks.
