Chocolate Chip Bread Pudding

Decadent bread pudding with white bread and chocolate chips soaked in a buttery custard, baked in a water bath until golden.

  • 5 tbsp butter
  • 2 cup hot milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 0.3 cup dark brown sugar
  • 2 whole eggs
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 2 cup cubed white bread, crusts removed
  • 6 oz chocolate chips

Instructions

    Heat butter, sugar, and milk together until butter melts.

    Add eggs, vanilla, and salt; stir well.

    Grease a 1-quart baking dish. Place bread and chocolate chips in baking dish.

    Pour egg mixture over bread and chips. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate 5 hours.

    Place in a larger pan of water in a 350°F oven and bake for 45 minutes or until golden brown on top.
