Chicken Noodle Casserole

  • 2 cup egg noodles, broken
  • 10 0.8 oz condensed cream of chicken soup
  • 0.3 cup chopped almonds
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted
  • 0.5 cup evaporated milk
  • 1/8 tsp ground thyme
  • 0.5 lb cubed cooked chicken
  • 0.3 cup chopped green bell pepper
  • 0.5 cup bread crumbs

Instructions

    Preheat oven to 375°F. Grease a 6-cup baking dish.

    Cook egg noodles in boiling salted water until tender. Drain and place in baking dish.

    Pour over the noodles a mixture of soup, evaporated milk, and thyme.

    Layer chicken pieces and almonds over the noodles and soup.

    Sprinkle a topping of melted butter, green pepper, and bread crumbs over the casserole.

    Bake for 20 minutes, or until sauce is bubbling and top is golden.
