Cheesy Meatloaf

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 lb ground pork
  • 1 envelope (1.25 oz) dry onion soup mix
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 0.5 cup dry bread crumbs
  • 0.8 cup water
  • 2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese, divided

Instructions

    Preheat oven to 350°F.

    In a large bowl combine beef, pork, soup mix, eggs, bread crumbs, black pepper, and water.

    Stir in 1/2 cup of the mozzarella cheese. Mix well.

    Spread half of mixture into a 9x5-inch loaf pan.

    Spread remaining 1.5 cups cheese over meat mixture.

    Top with remaining half of meat mixture.

    Bake 60 minutes. Let cool 10-15 minutes before slicing.
