Cheesy Layered Salad
A classic overnight layered salad with lettuce, onion, water chestnuts, and peas under a seasoned mayo topping, finished with bacon, tomatoes, and loads of cheddar cheese.

- 1 head lettuce, torn into small pieces
- 1 onion, chopped
- 8 oz water chestnuts, drained
- 16 oz frozen green peas, thawed
- 2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tsp white sugar
- 1 tsp seasoning salt
- 0.3 tsp garlic powder
- 0.5 lb bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 2 large tomatoes, chopped
- 2 lb shredded cheddar cheese

In a 9×13 inch dish, layer lettuce, onion, water chestnuts, and peas.

Mix together mayonnaise, sugar, seasoned salt, and garlic powder until smooth. Spread evenly over the peas.
