Cheeseburger Casserole

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 0.5 cup chopped onion
  • 2 cup water
  • 0.7 cup ketchup
  • 2 tbsp prepared mustard
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.3 tsp black pepper
  • 2 cup uncooked instant rice
  • 2 slice Cheddar cheese, cut into 1-inch strips

Instructions

    In a skillet over medium heat, brown the beef and onion; drain fat.

    Add water, ketchup, mustard, salt, and pepper; mix well. Bring to a boil.

    Stir in instant rice. Cover and remove from heat; let stand for 5 minutes.

    Top with Cheddar cheese strips; cover and let stand 3 to 5 minutes until cheese melts.

    Serve hot.
