Ingredients
Servings
4
- 1 0.3 lb top sirloin steak
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 0.5 tsp dried oregano, crushed
- 0.5 tsp salt
- 0.3 tsp coarsely ground black pepper
- 0.3 cup fresh orange juice
- 1 tbsp fresh lime juice
- 2 tsp cider vinegar
- 2 orange slices, 1/2-inch thick
Instructions
- 1
Place steak in a shallow glass dish. Rub with oil on both sides. Sprinkle with oregano, salt and pepper. Pour orange juice, lime juice and vinegar over the steak. Cover and refrigerate overnight (or at least several hours), turning occasionally.
- 2
Remove steak from refrigerator and bring to room temperature. Prepare and preheat a charcoal or gas grill.
- 3
Drain the steak, reserving the marinade. Place on the grill and top with orange slices. Spoon reserved marinade over the steak occasionally as it cooks.
- 4
Grill 3–4 minutes per side for medium-rare, or longer to desired doneness. Remove orange slices to flip the steak, then replace.
- 5
Rest for 5 minutes before slicing. Serve with rice, beans, and warm tortillas.
